PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To stably produce a rapidly cooled alloy for a high performance nanocomposite magnet by using a rapid cooling device having a relatively low rapid cooling rate.
SOLUTION : A primary rapid cooling stage where the molten metal of an iron-based rare earth magnet alloy is rapidly cooled, so that crystallization is started in the process of solidifying the molten metal is performed. Thereafter, a second rapid cooling stage where the alloy in which crystallization has been started by the first rapid cooling stage is contacted with a cooling medium, and the alloy is further rapidly cooled to suppress the growth in the grains of the crystal phase is performed.
