PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for preparing an oxychlorination catalyst whose fluidity is hardly degraded and which has high activity and selectivity and to obtain the oxychlorination catalyst.
SOLUTION : The oxychlorination catalyst is prepared by the following steps (a) to (d), namely, a step (a) to add an alkaline-earth metal halide aqueous solution to pseud-boehmite alumina slurry, a step (b) to prepare mixed slurry by adding a cupric chloride aqueous solution and a rare-earth metal chloride aqueous solution and/or an alkali metal halide aqueous solution, a step (c) to spray-dry the prepared mixed slurry and a step (d) to fire the fine particles obtained by the step (c). It is preferable that the pH of the mixed slurry is within the range of 2.5-5.0. |
