简介 PURPOSE : A micro-thin sinter magnet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent a crack or a breakdown of the magnet while thinning the magnet to a thickness smaller than 0.6mm. CONSTITUTION : A sinter magnet(10), such as rare earths permanent magnets or ferrite magnets, is formed to have a thickness greater than 1mm and the sinter magnet is attached to a circular magnet fixing jig(30) having a magnet attaching groove(20) using a binder. A surface of the sinter magnet is polished by using a polisher smaller than #400, the surface is polished again by using a polisher smaller than #1000, and then the surface is further polished by using a polisher smaller than #1500, such that the thickness of the sinter magnet is less than 0.6mm. The magnet is immersed with the jig to an alkali peeling agent at a temperature ranging from 50 degrees to 90 degrees to separate the magnet from the jig. An edge portion of the magnet is polished by a rotating polisher and Ni is plated by using a rotational barrel method to have a thickness ranging from 20 and 30 m. © KIPO 2005
