PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an apparatus for removing sand in a pump water suction tank which collects earth and sand piled up on a sand sedementation basin to a pit formed to a pump water suction tank, and can efficiently discharge the collected earth and sand by a sand lifting pump.
SOLUTION : The apparatus for removing sand in the pump water suction tank (2) is characterized in that a central trough (3) communicating with the sand sedementation basin (1) and the pump water suction tank (2) is arranged on the bottom part of the sand sedementation basin (1) and the pump water suction tank (2), a gate (4) is erected on the central trough (3) in the vicinity of the rear end portion of the sand sedementation basin (1), the earth and sand piled up on the sand sedementation basin (1) is flowed into the pit (8) arranged from the central trough (3) to the pump water suction tank (2), and thereafter, the earth and sand is discharged from the pit (8) to a sand discharge treatment apparatus by the sand lifting pump (7). |
