PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent the deterioration of various kinds of contents with light by reducing optical transmittance at desired wavelength while keeping little change of an amber color tone at amber glass and a glass vessel formed by using it. SOLUTION : The amber glass contains one or more kinds of rare earth elements of 0.2-20 wt% in terms of total oxides. When the rare earth elements suitably selected are added in the amber glass, the optical transmittance at the desired wavelength can be reduced because of absorbing light having specific wavelength with little change of the amber color tone. |
