PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric ceramic composition which has an improved dielectric constant, an enhanced accelerated life of insulation resistance and an improved reliability and shows little change in electrostatic capacity at application of direct-current voltage (good DC bias characteristics).
SOLUTION : The dielectric ceramic composition has an essential component containing barium titanate, a fourth subcomponent containing an oxide of R1 (wherein R1 is at least one chosen from a first element group consisting of rare earth elements having an effective ionic radius of 0 mol but ≤10 mol (in terms of R1 alone), and the molar ratio of the fifth subcomponent to 100 mol essential component is >0 mol but ≤2 mol (in terms of R2 alone). |
