简介 PURPOSE : To provide a method for surely producing a larger single crystal like superconducting bulk material in high efficiency. CONSTITUTION : In producing a crystal of REBa2 Cu3 O7-x phase comprising dispersed FE2 BaCuO5 phase, a seed crystal 1 is arranged under a precursor 2 as a molding containing powder of oxides of RE, Ba and Cu and a crystal is grown from the precursor 2. RE is one or more of Y-containing rare earth elements. Consequently, since the large-sized single crystal is brought into contact with the precursor, the precursor is hardly made into a polycrystal and a supporting material (a layer obtained by replacing RE) required for a conventional production method is not needed to simplify production operation.
