PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method and a device where, at the time of decarburizing and deoxidizing the powder scrap of a rare earth magnet, from a mixture of a rare earth magnet alloy and a calcium compound produced in the deoxidization stage, the calcium component is efficiently washed away while retaining the content of oxygen in the magnet alloy to the low one.
SOLUTION : In the washing stage for a deoxidized reactive mixture obtained by a deoxidization stage, washing is performed while forming an upward solvent flow in which the average flow rate of the solvent is ≥3.5 mm/s and a shear flow of the solvent in which the shear rate gradient lies in the range of 3.5 to 11 (1/s). As for the washing device, a washing tank has a rotatable structure, and the internal wall face thereof is provided with blades. Alternatively, the inside of the washing tank is provided with a baffle board. Further, a sealable structure provided with a cylindrical barrel part and conical parts with an almost conical shape on both the sides is formed, it is made rotatable with a horizontal or slightly tilted rotary axis as the center, and the internal wall face thereof is provided with blades almost horizontal to the rotary axis. |
