PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method which enables production of a polysilane compound of a high polymerization degree under relatively mild conditions.SOLUTION : Specified complexes of a so-called PSiP-pincer type, or compounds of formulae (II-A) and (II-B), are very effective as catalysts for polycondensation of silane compounds, and a polymerization method of high-quality polysilane compounds of a high polymerization degree is based on a polycondensation reaction using it. In formulae (II-A) and (II-B), M is an iridium atom or a rhodium atom; Xs are independently H or a halogen atom; Rs are independently a 1-20C hydrocarbon group; and Rand Rare independently H or a 1-20C hydrocarbon group. |
