PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a particulate rare earth complex composition that enables thin film deposition in a solution process, and also enables light emission even when used as a light emitting layer of an organic EL device, and an organic EL device having a light emitting layer of a thin film comprising the same, and provide a rare earth complex polymer having excellent light emitting properties and heat resistance.
SOLUTION : A complex composition contains a complex molecule containing a complex site at which a specific molecule illustrated in Figure 10 and containing a phosphine oxide group is coordinated to one Eu ion. An organic EL element contains a thin film of the composition as a light emitting layer.
