PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a creep resistant magnesium alloy which facilitates casting, has high strength, shows superior strength, hardness and metal mold castability as well, because of keeping a high aluminum content in the alloy, and further easily precipitates Mg2Si in grain boundaries because of containing calcium and a rare earth metal.
SOLUTION : The creep resistant die-casting magnesium alloy with high strength includes 4.0% to 9.0% aluminum and 0.8% to 2.0% silicon so as to keep the balance with 0.1% to 1.2% magnesium, and further 0.1% to 1.3% calcium and 0.01% or 1.5% a rare earth metal. |
