简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of producing a superfine particulate BaTiO3 dielectric ceramic in which a rare earth element and a Cu-based oxide are added. SOLUTION : The method of producing the superfine particulate BaTiO3 dielectric ceramic comprises adding a RE2O3 (RE is at least one rare earth element selected from the group of La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er and Yb) powder and a Cu-based oxide powder to a BaTiO3 powder, then producing a mixed powder according to a conventional solid reaction method, and sintering the mixed powder under an oxygen atmosphere. In the case when at least one rare earth element and the Cu-based oxide are added to BaTiO3 and the process for sintering the resulting mixture is controlled under an oxygen atmosphere, the high density, superfine particulate BaTiO3 dielectric ceramic can be obtained at a low temperature.
