PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of producing a rare earth magnet capable of enhancing the corrosion resistance of the magnet.
SOLUTION : A magnet element containing a rare earth element is produced (steps S101, S102), and then processed/ground (step S103). Then, following to degrease processing (step S104), the magnet element is subjected to dissolution processing with an acid (step S105). Subsequently, it is immersed into water having dissolved oxygen concentration of 3.0 ppm in units of mass thus removing deposit on the surface of the magnet element produced through dissolution (step S106). Thereafter, a protective film is formed (steps S107, S108) followed by post-processing (step S109) and magnetization (step S110). Since the magnet element is immersed into water having a regulated dissolved oxygen concentration, oxidation of the magnet element is suppressed, and adhesion between the magnet element and the protective film is enhanced resulting in the enhancement of corrosion resistance. |
