PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric ceramic which is suitable for constituting the dielectric ceramic layer of a multilayer ceramic capacitor, which has the excellent temperature characteristics of electrostatic capacity, in which a base metal such as nickel can be used as an internal electrode and which can be fired in a reducing atmosphere.
SOLUTION : The dielectric ceramic is expressed by a general formula, (Ba1-xCax)mTiO3+αBaO+βCaO+γMnO+δMgO+εSiO2+ζRe2O3. where Re is a rare earth element and (x), (m), (α), (β), (γ), (δ), (ε) and (ζ) are respectively in the range of 0.04≤x≤0.20, 0.990≤m≤1.035, 0.001≤α≤0.038, 0.001≤α+β≤0.076, 0.0001≤γ≤0.05, 0.001≤δ≤0.025, 0.002≤ε≤0.08, and 0.001≤ζ≤0.05. |
