PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth-based permanent magnet wherein an inorganic film superior in insulation is formed on its surface, and to provide its simple and easy manufacturing method.SOLUTION : The insulative rare-earth-based permanent magnet is provided with an inorganic film that contains phosphorus and calcium as a constitution element and is formed on its surface directly or by means of a corrosion resistance film. In its preferable manufacturing method, the rare-earth-based magnet where the corrosion resistance film is formed on its surface is dipped in a film formation treatment liquid containing hydrogenphosphate ions and calcium ions so as to form an inorganic film containing phosphorus and calcium as a constitution element on the surface of the corrosion resistance film. |
