A magnesium alloy sheet, comprising magnesium-based alloy and having a half peak width of 0.20 deg or more and 0.59 deg or less in a (0004) diffraction peak in monochromatic X-ray diffraction, wherein the magnesium-based alloy contains : (1) 1.0 mass % or more and 10.0 mass % or less Al, 0.1 mass % or more and 1.5 mass % or less Zn, and the remainder that is composed of Mg and unavoidable impurities, or (2) both at least one element selected from the group consisting of Al, Zn, Mn, Y, Zr, Cu, Ag, and Si with a total content of 0.01% or more and 20% or less and the remainder that is composed of Mg and unavoidable impurities, or (3) both at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ca and Be with a total content of 0.00001% or more and 16% or less and the remainder that is composed of Mg and unavoidable impurities, or (4) both at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Au, Pt, Sr, Ti, B, Bi, Ge, In, Tb, Nd, Nb, La, and the rare earth element (except Tb, Nd, and La) with a total content of 0.001% or more and 5% or less and the remainder that is composed of Mg and unavoidable impurities, or (5) both the alloy specified in (1) above and an added element that is composed of at least one element selected from the group consisting of the elements specified in (2), (3), and (4) above with the specified content. |
